Here’s Everything We Expect Apple to Release in 2022

There's no doubt that 2021 was a great year for Apple and tech in general. We got to see some cool new Apple products that we had been expecting for a long time, like the AirPods 3 and the AirTag. Although Apple is finished unveiling new products in 2021, there are still many surprises to come in 2022.
The new year is right around the corner, and with it will come a bunch of new devices that we can't wait to put our hands on.
There's already a lot of speculation about what Apple will bring to the table next year. It has been rumored that we'll see new computers, iPhones, and possibly a completely new product we've never seen before. So, get excited! Here's Everything We Expect Apple to Release in 2022
Apple Mixed Reality Headset
There have been a lot of rumors saying that Apple's working on a Virtual and Augmented Reality headset. Rumors also say that Apple might end up releasing this brand new product in 2022.
According to several reports, Apple's Mixed Reality Headset will be powerful and a bit expensive. We expect this new product to cost over $1,000, albeit we don't know exactly how much that will be.
However, that price is for a reason. It's possible that this headset would feature dual 4K micro OLED displays and would be powered by a processor similar to the Macs' M1 chip.
According to Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, the mixed reality headset will be mainly used for communication, media consumption, and gaming. This headset is said to have many specs, such as a fan and amazing displays, but it seems Apple will mostly focus on gaming for this one. It's also rumored to have its own App Store, similar to the Oculus headsets. We don't know exactly when it'll come, but we expect to see it sometime in 2022.
New iPhone SE
It seems like Apple won't wait another five years to release a new iPhone SE. However, it might not be what everyone's expecting.
Rumor has it that Apple will release a new iPhone SE 3 next year, and it's possible that it'd be called iPhone SE Plus. With that said, the plus won't be because of a bigger size.
It seems like Apple will keep the same design the iPhone SE 2 has, which is also the same design the iPhone 8 had. Instead, Apple may focus on the internals.
The new iPhone SE 3 is said to feature the A15 Bionic chip, which is the same one you'll find in the iPhone 13 lineup. Additionally, it should come with 5G, which will improve its connectivity.
It's still possible that Apple might not use "Plus" since it would confuse regular customers, so we'll need to wait on that one. However, one thing's for sure; all rumors point out that Apple will release this new iPhone next year.
It may not sound like much, but rumors also say that Apple's already working on the iPhone SE that'll release after the third generation. That one will feature a bigger change in its design since it's said to look like the iPhone XR. Still, we're definitely a couple of years away from that happening.
More Powerful Mac mini
The Mac mini got a decent upgrade in 2020 when Apple introduced Apple Silicon. Now, it seems the company will take it one step further and create an even more powerful Mac mini with a slightly smaller design.
The new Mac mini is said to feature a sleeker design, and it's also possible that it'll have more ports available on the back, similar to what Apple did to the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros.
On the inside, the Mac mini is said to feature a more powerful chip. Before, we thought that meant Apple would introduce an M2 chip, but it's possible that the company would use the M1 Pro or M1 Max chips as it did with the new MacBook Pros.
Some leakers said the Mac mini was ready to launch in 2021, which of course, didn't happen. So it's highly likely that we'll see it next year.
Redesigned MacBook Air
Alongside the Mac mini, the MacBook Air also got an Apple Silicon chip to make it even more powerful and efficient than before. However, Apple isn't done upgrading the Air model. It seems plausible that it will bring a new refresh in 2022. This new MacBook Air would be like nothing we've ever seen before.
Apple is said to change the design to make it flatter and boxier. Rumors also say that it'll come in different colors, just like the 2021 iMac.
On the inside, the new MacBook Air would feature a more powerful chip. It's possible that Apple may not use the more powerful M1 Pro and M1 Max chips, so we expect to see a new Apple Silicon processor like the so-called M2 chip.
iPhone 14
Apple's said to release a brand new iPhone next year. Of course, that should come as no surprise.
Just like every year, Apple will refresh the iPhone in 2022, probably near the end of the year. The funny thing is that we already know quite a lot about the new iPhone. That is if the rumors are true, anyways.
The new iPhone 14 lineup is said to finally get rid of the notch. Instead, the new iPhone will have a hole-punch camera at the front and an under-display Touch ID. However, take this with a grain of salt since many rumors also said the iPhone 13 would be the first one with this feature.
It's also possible that the new iPhone 14 lineup won't have an iPhone 14 mini. Instead, we'll have two regular iPhone and two Pro models with 6.1 and 6.7-inch sizes.
Apple Watch Series 8
Just like the iPhone, we're also pretty sure that Apple will release a new Apple Watch in 2022. There are many speculations that the Series 8 will bring a few new health features, including blood glucose and blood pressure scanners.
As for the design, Series 8 would be similar to Series 7. This means it will boast a bigger battery and more durability than Apple showcased this year. And, of course, the bigger screen size won't be going anywhere. Some rumors still point out that we'll see a flatter and boxier Apple Watch, but these rumors were the same for the Series 7, so we'll need to wait for more information.
Apple Watch SE 2
Good news for Apple Watch SE fans. It seems like Apple will launch the second-generation Apple Watch SE alongside the Apple Watch Series 8, similar to what the company did in 2020.
Unfortunately, we don't know much information about the Apple Watch SE 2 yet. But we expect the second-generation Watch to feature a faster processor and maybe even some new features that the first generation didn't have, like an Always-On display and a blood oxygen scanner.
Unfortunately, this is mostly speculation, so we'll need to wait to see if and when Apple releases this wearable.
AirPods Pro 2
Apple finally released the third-generation AirPods in 2021, making the AirPods Pro seem like they need to catch up. Fortunately, many rumors point out that Apple is working on the next generation of AirPods Pro, and it is possible that we'll see them in 2022.
The AirPods Pro 2 is said to feature a smaller design with no stems. They should look similar to the Samsung Galaxy Buds or Google Buds. They should also have improved sound quality, better battery life, and a better processor on the inside.
Rumors suggested that Apple would release this product in 2021. However, since it didn't happen, we should expect the AirPods Pro to release in 2022.
