Apple Prepares for Huge Spring Event | 5+ Rumored New Products to Expect

Apple’s first event of 2022 will occur either in March or April according to reliable sources, featuring many long-awaited product launches that consumers have been vying for. Reliable sources say it will be a big event, but it is just an “appetizer” for what’s to come in the fall of 2022. Apple is anticipated to launch a wide range of products with probable ones being the iPhone SE Plus and a new iPad Air 5. Apple is also expected to launch a wide array of Mac units as well as surprise us with a few others. Continue reading to learn about all the new Apple products (likely) coming this spring!
iPhone SE Plus | 100% Chance
Apple is expected to release a 5G, A15 version of the iPhone SE. According to Ross Young, it will be called the iPhone SE Plus since the 2020 iPhone SE (2nd Generation) will still be for sale. There may be some color updates, but the design will be the same as the 2020 iPhone SE. Other rumors have said the 2023 iPhone SE will receive an iPhone XR-like design with no notch and Touch ID on the front. The new iPhone model has been registered in the EEC.
iPad Air 5 | 100% Chance
Apple is expected to finally bring the iPad Air up to date alongside the iPad mini and budget iPad in 2022. The iPad Air 5 will bring the A15 chip, updated selfie camera at 12MP enabling the Center Stage feature, and more. This iPad will also have new colors and a True Tone LED flash like the iPad mini. These features will bring the iPad Air in line with the iPad mini that was just released, which as of now is superior to the iPad Air in terms of specs. The iPad model has been registered with the EEC.
Mac mini | 90% Chance
Apple is expected to release some of the final M1 family Macs at the spring event. The Mac mini is one of these Macs – it was going to be released at the October 2021 'Unleashed' event but was pushed into early 2022. This will be the biggest Mac mini update, with a huge redesign expected. A plexiglass top, new colors, and new rubber feet will make this the ultimate machine. The new Mac mini will replace the Space Gray Intel variants that have been sold since October 2018 on Apple’s website. This variant will come with the M1 Pro and M1 Max chips, and later in fall 2022, there is expected to be an M2 variant that will also receive the new design.
iMac 27”/iMac Pro | 95% Chance
Apple is expected to bring the new iMac design to the 27” iMac that will replace the current one that was released in August 2020. This new iMac will likely be the Pro version of the 24” iMac that we got in 2021. It will not come in the fun Apple colors, but prototype units did have more colors than just Space Gray. This iMac will come with the M1 Pro and M1 Max chips as well as the M1 Ultra that could have a 12 core CPU instead of ten.
Apple Watch Spring Bands | 100% Chance
Apple will also be releasing the new seasonal Apple Watch Bands as they have done in prior years. New spring colors will be coming and might not be mentioned at the event, but may launch right after.
There could be some other product releases at the event but, don’t expect the redesigned MacBook Air (MacBook) or new MacBook Pro 13” replacement, Mac Pro, iPad Pro M2, new Apple Displays, Apple Mixed Reality Headset, Apple Watch Series 8, or the new iPhone 14 series.
