Prototyping Two Versions of Touch ID

Most of the changes found in the Apple Watch will happen in the hardware department with new sensors and new features added to the Apple Watch. One long-rumored feature is Touch ID. According to the leaked information from The Verifier and iupdate, Apple has two Watch prototypes in testing. One has Touch ID integrated into the Digital Crown, while the other embeds it into the display, a feature that may make its way into future iPhones. Apple is currently testing both versions to see which is better. There is a very slight chance this feature will be included in the upcoming Apple Watch Series 6, but it most likely will appear in the Apple Watch Series 7 or Series 8.
