Apple’s Vision Pro is now available in eight new countries. The headset went on sale today in Apple Stores in China, Japan, and Singapore while opening up for preorders in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, and the UK, where it will launch on July 12.

Rumors of a global summer launch of the Vision Pro began circulating a few months ago, with some speculating that Apple was aiming to make its spatial computing headset available outside of the US as early as May to give it wider reach ahead of Apple’s June Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). However, as WWDC neared, analysts revised those predictions to say that it wouldn’t be coming until later in June or even into early July.

The good news is that they weren’t far off. Apple made it official during its WWDC keynote, announcing a two-stage rollout. The Vision Pro opened for pre-order in three Asian countries that same week and would appear in stores on June 28, the same day it was slated to open for pre-order in the remaining five countries.

With the Vision Pro going on sale in several stores across the Pacific today, Apple has shared photos of enthusiastic customers at its stores in Beijing, Tokyo, and Singapore buying and trying on the spatial computing headset for the first time.

Today, Apple Vision Pro arrived in Apple Store locations across China mainland, Hong Kong, Japan, and Singapore. Vision Pro seamlessly blends digital content with the physical world to deliver powerful spatial experiences that transform the way people work, collaborate, connect, relive memories, enjoy entertainment, and much more.

Preorders in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, and the UK went live at 5:00 a.m. Pacific Time in all locations, which means 10 p.m. last night for folks in Australia and 1 p.m. in London. Prices in local currencies in those countries are on par with similar adjustments for Apple’s other products, accounting for exchange rates and other economic differences between countries.

The base 256 GB Vision Pro in Canada sells for $4,999 CAD, slightly higher than the $3,499 USD equivalent. In the UK, it’s £3,499, in Australia, $5,999 AUD, and €3,999 in France and Germany. All of those prices are higher than the current exchange rates, but that’s typical of most consumer products. Since wages and cost of living vary widely, pricing is more about how many hours you’ll need to work to afford something than the raw dollar figures.

Nevertheless, depending on import fees, folks from Australia or Europe could save between $500 and $800 USD if they pick one up on a stateside trip. For Canucks there’s less of an incentive as there’s only about a $150 difference.

Customers in those countries can also now pre-book demo sessions to check out the Vision Pro. Appointments start July 12, the day the new headset launches, and are currently available through July 18, although more slots will likely open up as we get closer to that date.

While these launches cover most of Apple’s major markets, there are still lots of other places for the spatial computing headset to reach. No word yet on when that will happen, but we’ll be sure to keep you posted.
