We already knew they were coming, but the MacBook Pros were still a big surprise this year.

The new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros took the world by storm by reintroducing MagSafe to the Mac and introducing not one but two new Apple Silicon chips.

Apple used the new MacBook Pros to reveal the M1 Pro and the M1 Max chips, the two most powerful chips Apple offers. That makes the new MacBook Pros the most powerful laptop available.

Although, not everything was good news. Apple also decided to add a notch to the new MacBooks. No, there’s no Face ID. It’s just a camera notch. Why? Apple wanted to leave more room for a larger screen, but not everyone liked that choice. Still, they’re one of the best computers and refreshes Apple’s made.
