How to Remove the Silent Indicator from the iPhone Status Bar

Toggle Dark Mode
A lot of us never use our iPhones in anything other than Silent mode. It’s just the best option you can try, and it’s less annoying if you get a lot of calls or notifications.
However, one thing can be annoying: the Silent mode indicator near the top left corner of your iPhone, right on the left side of the Dynamic Island.
Not only is it distracting, but it’s also pointless if you’re always in Silent mode. Luckily, Apple makes it really easy to remove that indicator from your iPhone’s status bar. Keep reading to find out how.
How to Remove the Silent Indicator From the Status Bar on Your iPhone
Your iPhone’s status bar is helpful, but having the Silent indicator might not be as useful as other information your iPhone can show there. Luckily, if you want to disable the Silent mode indicator, it only takes a couple of taps. Here’s what you need to do:
- Open the Settings app.
- Scroll down and go to Sounds & Haptics.
- Near the top of your screen, below Silent Mode, toggle Show in Status Bar off.
And that’s it. The indicator is gone for good. Of course, if you miss it or think you need it, follow the same steps and enable the same feature to bring it back.
Keep Your iPhone’s Status Bar Minimalistic
Nowadays, there are many features and information you can check at a glance on your iPhone. Of course, that doesn’t mean every piece of information is helpful, including the Silent mode indicator.
Luckily, with a few taps, you can delete some information that doesn’t really work for you.
