The Best Apple Intelligence Features We Can’t Wait to Try

By far, the biggest new feature Apple revealed during this year's Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) presentation is Apple Intelligence.
Apple's take on AI shows what Apple devices will be capable of. Apple took a lot of time to ensure we got the full picture and understood that its technology will improve greatly in the next few years.
With Apple Intelligence, there are a bunch of new features that we can't wait to try. Some of these features won't be ready by the end of the year, but we're hoping the wait will be worth it. Read on for eight exciting Apple Intelligence features coming to iOS 18 and macOS Sequoia.
Genmoji

Genmoji is a brand-new feature that's probably as silly as it sounds. Still, it's an amazing way to really see what Apple Intelligence will be capable of.
With Genmoji, you'll be able to create any emoji you can think of with just a single prompt. For instance, you can ask for a cat driving a scooter, and your iPhone will immediately create it for you. Not only that, but it'll give you different designs and art styles so you can choose the one you like the most.
What's more, Genmoji will be able to understand who your contacts are. So you'll be able to create a personalized emoji for your friends or family.
Image Playground

Just like Genmoji, Image Playground is a cool app that will let you express yourself in ways you couldn't before, even if you aren't an artist.
With Image Playground, you can create an illustration, sketch, or animation in a flash. All you need to do is write a prompt, and a cute animation will be generated in seconds. Just like Genmoji, Image Playground will know who your contacts are, so you can create art for your loved ones instantly.
The Image Playground app is also integrated with other apps like Messages. You'll be able to create cool illustrations without leaving Messages and immediately send them to your contacts.
New Writing Tools

Another great feature coming with Apple Intelligence is a set of new writing tools to help you craft the perfect messages.
For starters, Apple Intelligence will be able to proofread your emails. It will mark all your grammar mistakes and give you suggestions for fixing them. You can then fix them individually or all with one click.
If you want to up your email game, you can ask Apple Intelligence to help you make your messages sound more professional when you talk to your coworkers. Or turn your message into a poem when you want to mess around with your friends.
Moreover, there are other tools to make your messages more digestible. For instance, you can create a list of bullet points or a summary of a long message, so people can get the gist of the message even if they don't read it completely.
Summary Notifications

In today's day and age, every app has a notification for you. Whether it's small social media updates or reminders of important tasks, chances are you have a bunch of notifications on your iPhone.
Luckily, Apple has tried to minimize distractions with the most recent software updates, and that includes iOS 18. With Apple Intelligence, you'll have access to Priority Notifications.
These notifications will appear at the top of the summary stack, so you know they're the most important ones. Moreover, these notifications will be summarized by AI.
Instead of having a list of all the notifications, you can check a summary made by your iPhone so you know what the most important points are.
Smarter Siri

Siri is also getting a much-needed redesign. Thanks to Apple Intelligence, Apple's virtual assistant is now smarter than ever, and we can't wait to try it out.
For starters, Siri will be able to understand you even better. Even if you make a mistake and correct yourself mid-sentence, Siri will still understand what you want to say.
Moreover, Siri will be able to understand more context now. For instance, it'll know what's on your screen, so you can ask something about that without having to repeat the content on your screen.
Siri will also be able to grab any image or file you have on your iPhone. You can ask Siri for a specific file or to open the link that your friend sent you last week.
Improvements to the Photos App

Editing your pictures will be much easier now. For starters, you can ask Siri to improve a picture, and it will fix it as best it can.
But that's not all; there is also a new Clean Up tool. This feature analyzes the subjects in your pictures and lets you instantly delete any subject without compromising your image's quality.
Another great feature is that Siri will help you quickly find any photo or video you're looking for. For example, you can ask Siri to find pictures with something like a green hat or all the pictures you took of your kids with a blue shirt.
But what's really cool is that your iPhone will be capable of finding clips inside a video. Not just the video but specific clips. You can ask for a specific clip, and your iPhone will find the video and play the exact clip you described.
ChatGPT Integration
As we mentioned, Siri will be smarter than ever, but it won't be perfect. There might be prompts that Siri can't handle on its own.
But when that happens, you'll be able to use ChatGPT right from your iPhone. Apple partnered with OpenAI to bring ChatGPT to the iPhone. Instead of downloading an app, Siri will ask you if you'd like to connect with ChatGPT and give you a straight answer.
This service will be free to use, and you won't need to create a ChatGPT account to use it. However, if you do have a paid ChatGPT account, you'll be able to connect it and use premium features.
Third-Party Integration

One of the reasons to be most excited about Apple Intelligence is the possibilities for third-party apps. While Apple does a great job with its digital products, it can sometimes be cautious about adding new features.
Third-party developers, on the other hand, can make use of Apple Intelligence in a bunch of new and creative ways.
Apple confirmed that developers will have access to integrate system-level features like Siri, Image Playground, and Writing Tools, which means we'll probably see a lot of new apps and features that make the most of Apple Intelligence.
